At Farmer in the Dell Childcare, we believe in the power of play! Children learn best by actively constructing their own knowledge, connecting new experiences with what they already know through exploration. We provide safe, flexible, and structured opportunities for children to interact with learning materials and the natural environment, fostering meaningful development.
A day in our programs
Our small class sizes allow for flexibility while maintaining a comforting routine. A typical day includes breakfast, free play, outdoor time (weather permitting), learning walks, snack and circle time, drama-based learning activities in our "Imagination Station," lunch, rest, quiet activities, structured table-top learning with our research-based curriculum from Experience Learning, and an afternoon snack outside. Fun, right?!?
Age groups and program focus
We believe children learn best through play, connecting meanings to their existing knowledge. Guidance and the freedom to make mistakes are essential to accelerate learning. Children are excellent teachers themselves, sharing knowledge with peers and building social skills beyond any curriculum! Our philosophy echoes the Reggio Emilia approach, adapting to each child's unique needs.
